Shughart Scholars

In honor of Dale Shughart, Jr. a committed alumnus and dedicated friend, the Law School has established the Shughart Scholars program. Each year, the Law School will welcome as visiting assistant professors a small group of scholars of exceptional accomplishment and promise.

  • Clark D. Asay

    Professor Clark Asay's research focuses on legal issues relating to the Internet and arising from technological change. His specific interests include intellectual property law, open models of innovation, and information privacy law.

  • Seth Chertok

    Professor Chertok is a scholar of corporate law, securities law, private equity and investment management law.  Professor Chertok has published articles on a wide variety of topics in these area in academic journals, as well as in over forty leading industry trade publications.  Recently, he has focused his research on the impact of Title IV of the Dodd-Frank Act and related SEC rules on investment advisers.
