Penn State Law Employment and Salary Surveys
Penn State Law graduates work in every part of the legal profession and in non-legal careers where a law degree is preferred. Our graduates find positions all over the world. We gathered this employment and salary information from a variety of sources but the vast majority of the information comes directly from our graduates. Employment categories and geographic distinctions follow the National Association of Legal Professional (NALP) definitions found here (beginning on page 2), and here, respectively.
Sixty-five percent (65%) of our class of 2012 secured full-time jobs lasting at least a year for which bar passage was required or a J.D. degree was a significant advantage. Sixty three percent (63%) of our class of 2011 secured these types of positions.
