The Pennsylvania Supreme Court recently agreed with an amici curiae brief submitted by the Children’s Advocacy Clinic arguing that an unhealthy emotional bond between a parent and child should not prevent a court from terminating a parent’s rights when it’s in the best interest of the children.
Professor Gary S. Gildin has been appointed as senior associate dean of the Penn State Dickinson School of Law, in which capacity he will take a lead role in planning programs for the Carlisle campus. The appointment became effective immediately.
Retired Vice Adm. James Houck begins his official duties today as interim dean of the Penn State Dickinson School of Law, presiding over both of the Carlisle and University Park campuses. A native of State College, Houck joined Penn State Law in 2012 as a distinguished scholar in residence.
