Election Details

Elections will be held at a closed meeting of the Board of Directors in April 2014. New members elected at that meeting will serve through April 2016. Board members may serve two consecutive terms (for a total of four years*).

In its composition, the Board of Directors seeks to be representative of the alumni body as a whole. All alumni are welcome to apply for consideration. Please note that to serve as a member of the Board of Directors you will be asked to become a dues paying member of the Penn State Alumni Association, if you are not already.

All members of the Board of Directors are expected to attend twice annual meetings of the board, typically held in Carlisle in the fall and University Park in the spring. Additionally, conference calls and activities are held in the interim and board members are expected to participate barring legitimate conflicts.

The Board of Directors has committed itself to achieving 100% participation in the Law School’s fundraising efforts and members of the Board of Directors are asked to make a gift to the Law School each fiscal year.

* Board members may also run for an officer position. If elected president of the Board of Directors, a member will effectively serve for three terms (first as president-elect, followed by president and immediate past president)
