Faculty of Leading Scholars
Penn State Law faculty members advance the study and practice of law within a wide range of specialized legal fields. This diverse group of accomplished scholars and teachers includes the leading authority on DNA evidence and statistics in litigation, an internationally known authority on Russian law, the former legal counsel to the first African Union, and a leader in scholarship of biodiversity conservation. Clinical faculty share with law students their expertise in and passion for rural economic development, sustainable solutions for international humanitarian problems, appellate civil rights practice, family law, and advocacy for the rights of immigrants, children, and disabled people.
All faculty members value academic rigor. All are committed to sharing knowledge, engaging students, and sustaining an intense and comprehensive legal program. Faculty members encourage students to participate in vigorous in-class discussion and provide abundant opportunities for thoughtful discourse and research outside of the classroom.
