Prisoner Awareness Project

Mission Statement
The purpose of this organization shall be to gather and distribute donated books and literature to incarcerated individuals, recognizing that we as law students have a special opportunity and obligation to help others. Additionally, we hope to raise awareness of issues surrounding incarceration through events and speakers, and to provide support to prisoners and ex-convicts. Through educational events we hope to make the public and our fellow students more aware of the value to society as a whole if prisoners are literate and better educated.

Major Activities
Collect and donate books to prisoners, prison tours, movie discussions.
