American Association for Justice (Penn Chapter)

Mission Statement
The American Association for Justice (AAJ) is the world’s largest voluntary trial bar association with a broad-based, international coalition of attorneys, professors, paralegals, and law students. The Penn State Law Chapter of the AAJ is a great resource for networking and information gathering. The student chapter aims to promote better public speaking skills and familiarity with trial work.

The Chapter’s purpose is to provide its members with practical knowledge about a career in trial law by working with local lawyers on joint projects, attending seminars, luncheons, etc. The Chapter will cater to whichever areas of law most interests the Chapter’s members. The AAJ will work closely with the chapter, providing lecturers, programs, and activities.

Chapter members will also have access to the AAJ Mentor Program — giving students the opportunity to meet with an AAJ member who will explain what it is like to be a trial attorney and answer student questions. Mentors also volunteer their time and experience to dispel misinformation about trial attorneys and mentor the next generation of trial attorneys.
