Career Services Office
A student’s career goals often evolve as he or she gains experience inside and outside of the classroom, and one vital component of a professional career search is an honest assessment of one’s skills and interests throughout law school. The professionals in the Career Services Office assist Penn State Law students and graduates with all phases of career development, including:
- Identifying your strengths. What are the skills, abilities, and interests that make you attractive to a potential employer?
- Choosing a suitable field. Which employers will need your skills and abilities? What work best fits you?
- Developing a job search strategy. How can you best approach the marketplace to find the positions you seek?
- Marketing yourself. How can you present yourself most effectively to employers?
- Closing the deal. How do you negotiate the terms that best meet your needs?
