Financial Aid Office

The Financial Aid Office works with admitted students to identify resources and obtain the necessary funds to finance their legal education. To consult with a financial aid adviser, please call (814) 863-0469 or (800) 840-1122.

In order to be considered for financial aid awards, all students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA form can be completed online after January 1. Students wishing to be considered for Need-Based Grants must also complete the Penn State Law Financial Aid Application. Please refer to the Penn State Law Need-Based Grant application procedures for further information. Regardless of personal family income or year in school, students are welcome to apply for financial assistance at any point during their legal education at Penn State.

The priority deadline for financial aid applications is March 3 for new prospective students and April 15 for continuing Penn State Law students.  While we will accept applications after the priority deadline, submitting your applications by the priority deadline regardless of your admission status at that point will yield you your best opportunity to be awarded a need-based grant.  Please note that the federal school code for all Penn State locations is 003329.
